Parking at the IWK

The IWK's multi-level public parkade is located on University Avenue for patient, family and visitor use. When you enter into the parkade you will receive an entry ticket. Please take this ticket with you when you enter the Health Centre. Parking payment is required before you return to your car.

Paying for Parking

Cash, Debit or Credit Payment

If you wish to pay for your parking with cash, debit or accepted credit card, automated parking pay stations are located in the IWK Gallery, near both entrances to the parkade.
The exit gates in the parkade now accept chip credit cards providing another convenient method of payment. Simply insert your ticket then tap your credit card as you drive out.

If you are a family purchasing a weekly parking pass, you must do so at the Security Desk using debit or credit payment. No cash accepted.

Daily Parking Rates

• First hour - $3.00
• Second or third hour  - $2.00
• Fourth hour  - $3.00
• Each remaining hour - $2.00

Daily maximum rate: $14.00 (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.)

Night Parking Rates/ Weekend and Holiday Rate 

• First or second hour (or any part of) - $2.00
• Third hour (or any part of) - $1.00

Nightly maximum rate: $5.00 (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

Patient Weekly Parking Pass Rates

• Week One - $30
• Each Subsequent Week - $25
• Families purchasing a weekly parking pass, must do so by visiting the Protection Services Desk located on the 2nd floor inside the Women's Building Lobby.
• Weekly parking passes may be purchased using debit or credit only.

The rates listed above are for each hour, or any part thereof. The night rate will be automatically added if your park time extends past 6:00 p.m.
