Health care systems operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and educational support for employees within the system must be available when and where it is needed. The IWK Health Centre operates a web-based learning site, eSource Learning, that is available to all employees. eSource acts as a hub for learning content and is connected to the provincial learning management system. The use of electronic sources of educational content is an important contributor to the health centre’s pursuit of learning excellence. As the health centre moves forward in renewing its strategic direction, electronic learning will be a key factor for success.
