Location: The Health Sciences Library is located on the 2nd / main floor of the IWK Health Centre, on the south side of the Cineplex O.E. Smith theatre.

Hours of Operation: The Health Sciences Library is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Using the Library: The Library collection and services are available for the use of all health centre staff, medical staff and health profession students while on clinical rotations within the Health Centre. Others may use materials in the library at any time during staffed library hours or borrow materials through another library through interlibrary loan.
Library Collection: The IWK Health Sciences Library subscribes to more than 3000 journal titles in electronic and print format. Electronic subscriptions are institution-wide and are accessible from any computer within the IWK computer network. Click here to access IWK Library electronic journal subscriptions. There are also collections of books, audiovisual, reference and reserve materials in the areas of gynaecologic, reproductive, perinatal, neonatal and pediatric care, management, research and education. Loan Periods: Hard copy books / audiovisual materials can be borrowed for two week periods. Journals may be borrowed for one week.
Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services: Staff of the Health Sciences Library can access materials available in other libraries on your behalf. We can arrange for you to borrow materials or obtain copies of journal articles from other library collections.
Literature Searching: The Health Sciences Library has 4 computer workstations which are available for you to access library / health information sources. Contact the librarian if you require assistance with database searching or to request a literature search.
