Are you feeling challenged or overwhelmed by your child’s behaviour? Are you concerned about your child’s mental health? Would you like to connect to community and health resources? Call and make an appointment to meet with one of our IWK Navigators at our community health teams or a public community location or to chat over the phone.
Incredible Years School Aged six-12
A 12-week program for parents of six-12 year olds. This program focuses on improving your child’s social and emotional skills and reducing behavior problems. It is for parents of children six-12 years old. Courses parents of 6 to12 year olds each Fall and Winter. These sessions are available to parents and caregivers who live work or have a family doctor in the Community Health Team communities.
Incredible Years Pre-school
A 14-week program for parents of three to six year olds. This program focuses on improving your child’s social and emotional skills and reducing behavior problems. session focuses on improving your child’s social and emotional skills and reducing behaviour problems. Handle with Care - six-week program
This program is designed to help parents and caregivers promote the mental health of young children from birth to six years old. Topics include: trust & healthy attachment, promoting self-care & self-esteem, expressing emotions, and building relationships with others.
Parenting Your Teenager – Walking the Middle Path (In collaboration with IWK Mental Health & Addictions)
This one day workshop will help you to better understand your teen, improve communication, and help your family run more smoothly.
My Child is Anxious. Should I Worry? two-week program (IWK)
For parents of children up to the age 12 years old. Learn how to identify early signs of anxious feelings in your children and skills to help them manage everyday anxiety.
