Our Patient Experience team is available to answer your questions about IWK’s response to COVID-19. We are trialing this new service based on your feedback. If you can’t find the answer to your question on our website, call our hotline and we will do our best to respond to you within 24 hours. This line is staffed Monday – Friday 8:30-4:30. Response times may take longer for calls that come in over the weekend. Staff answering this line will also be able to dial in phone interpretation services as needed.
If you are calling long distance or live outside of Nova Scotia please call our toll-free number, 1-888-470-5888 and ask for the IWK COVID-19 Hotline. The switchboard team will not be providing advice directly but they will redirect your callto the hotline.

To find out if you need a COVID-19 test complete the online self-assessment. You can call 811 for assessment if you’re unable to complete the COVID-19 Self-assessment online (or to speak with a nurse).
